“The Lord reigns … the Lord has clothed and encircled Himself with strength. Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved. Your throne is established from of old.” – Psalm 93:1-2 NASB

Are you an optimist? A pessimist? As you look at life, are you hopeful or discouraged? If you dwell on the latest news, you might be worried or anxious. You might find your spirits rise or fall based on world events. Amid life’s ever-changing circumstances, how refreshing is it to know that our God reigns and his throne is established for all of eternity. Even when it seems that everything is out of place, it is good to remind ourselves of the biblical truth before us today. Regardless of all we are going through, God reigns and His throne is established for ever.

Friends, God sees everything perfectly from his standpoint. He already has declared “the end from the beginning” (Isaiah 46:10). He is never worried. His plans are firm, sure and secured. And He is worthy of all praise. We will experience ups and downs, but no matter what happens in the world, we can trust God. As the psalmist wrote, His throne is established. He is the same from everlasting.

The psalmist declared his confidence in God because His “testimonies are fully confirmed” Throughout time God has proven faithful. Others may fail us and fall short, but we can trust Him because He is holy and cannot lie (Hebrews 6:18). God is fully in charge; He is holding everything together. Nothing and no one pass his eyes unnoticed. Nobody can impeach or dethrone Him because He was not voted into power, indeed our God reigns and his throne is established for ever.

I Declare: Father, thank You that You reign and are clothed with majesty, I know that whatever life throws at me you are BIGGER! Today I declare that everything that doesn’t line up with God’s vision for my life is subject to change.

Ignite Thought: God is Bigger than life itself, He will outlast everything and forever reign.
