”So David inquired of the Lord, saying ‘Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?’ And He answered him, ‘Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8b
If you have recently found yourself in a difficult position and are thinking about giving up on God and on your dreams. My advice to you is not only to continue holding on but to press forward with greater intensity and passion for recovery. In doing so, you will not only thrive, but you will recover all that you have lost. Like all of us, David found himself in a situation where he lost more than he could handle on his own, and even his life was in danger. After facing rejection and humiliation by the Philistines, he returned to his home to find that invaders had burned it to the ground and they had taken the women, including his wives, and children captive (1 Samuel 30:1-6.)
Friends, this is not the time to give up, rather it is the time to encourage our hearts in the Lord and seek His wisdom in navigating the dark days of our lives. The devil’s job is to attempt to steal, kill, and destroy us, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Where sin abounds, grace abounds much more (Romans 5:20). The greater the defeat, the greater the restoration. In the end, the devil can do nothing to hinder you from what God has planned for your life. Regardless of the attempts of the enemy, this is not the time to fold your hands in despair. Don’t retreat, don’t surrender, arise and be resolute, pursue your life in God for you will surely overtake and recover without a fail.
Today, have a winning heart and mindset. Fold your sleeves not your hands and get ready to pursue your dreams. You will overtake and recover all the enemy had taken away from you; your prayer life, your peace of mind, your joy, your relationships and investments are yours for the taking if you can arise and pursue!
I Declare: I am coming into a newness of life like never before. God is bringing me into a full restoration of all that I have lost. I am bouncing back better and higher. I will recover all I have lost, and regain God’s best that I have never seen before.
Ignite Thought: Today’s complacency is tomorrow’s captivity, we MOVE!
