Arise and pursue

Spread the word!

”So David inquired of the Lord, saying ‘Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?’ And He answered him, ‘Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8b

If you have recently found yourself in a difficult position and are thinking about giving up, my advice to you is not only to continue but to press forward with greater intensity. In doing so, you will not only thrive, but you will recover all that you have lost. Like you, David found himself in a situation where he lost more than he could handle on his own, and even his life was in danger.

After facing rejection and humiliation by the Philistines, he returned to his home to find that invaders had burned it to the ground and they had taken the women, including his wives, and children captive. However, instead of throwing a pity party, David encouraged himself in the Lord, sought God’s wisdom, and pursued the invaders. At the end David was able to recover all that he lost.

The devil’s job is to attempt to steal, kill, and destroy us, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). I feel strongly to tell someone, that the greater the defeat, the greater the restoration. In the end, the devil can do nothing to hinder you from what God has planned for your life. If you are willing to pursue, you will recover without fail!

I Declare: Today I decree and declare a total recovery and restoration of all that have been lost. Every circle of lost and misfortune is arrested in the blood. I am restored on every side!

Ignite Thought: If you don’t pursue it, you won’t recover it. We only conquer what we are willing to confront!
