but when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “lord, save me!”
The Bible repeatedly tells us that God is our helper. Meaning that we can truly trust God to help us, yes, we really can! I know sometimes we can say something verbally but when it comes to practically applying them in our everyday life, we can’t seem to find a way to do it.
The truth is if we really believe God is our helper and that He’s willing to help us no matter what situation we’re in, then we have no reason to worry or get overwhelmed. Never say God is all knowing, if he wants to help me he will. It’s true God is all knowing but He is also the God of principles. He will never intervene in your life beyond the level you allow him to. The Holy Spirit is not the type to barge into your life and take over.
The Holy Spirit knows the answer to every problem, and He will help you through each one. But He won’t give you His advice unless you ask for it. No matter what your circumstances look like or what the world may say, If you can desire it, hang in there, Jesus is our present help!
I Declare: Lord you are my ever-present help and strength. I will not fear, for You are with me. I will not be afraid, for You are my God. You will strengthen me. You will help me. You will uphold me with the right hand of Your right hand of righteousness.
Ignite Thought: God is an ever present help to those who ask for it!
