If God has been generous with you, he will expect you to serve him well. But if he has been more than generous, he will expect you to serve him even better. Luke 12:48b CEV
If you have heard that line of wisdom, you know it means we are held responsible for what we have. If we have been blessed with talents, wealth, knowledge, time, and the like, it is expected that we benefit others. The Bible reminds us that God looks to see how we respond to circumstances. We should be like the Good Samaritan who reached out in compassion to help a man who had been wounded. We should not be like the priest and the Levite who saw the man but didn’t help him (Luke 10:30-37).
God knows our hearts. He knows what He has given us and what we can do. He has blessed us that we might be a blessing to others. He looks for people ready to serve, who see needs and are ready to help.
Make sure that you are not guilty of doing nothing because you could only do a little. Seek to bless others with the blessings God has given to you. Ask Him to show you how you can help and bless others with what you have.
I Declare: Today I declare that I am a beneficiary of divine kindness and trust. I will use all that I am entrusted with as a steward to benefit others.
Ignite Thought: The way to thrive is to help others thrive; you are blessed to be a blessing.
