Saved To Serve

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

For the Christian, it is only natural that good works and acts of kindness should flow out of the salvation encounter already accomplished in us and for us by Christ Jesus. It is good to know while Christ alone is our Savior; it is only His blood that cleanses humanity from every act and consequence of unrighteousness, and the only requirement we met for salvation was faith and belief in His finish work which also is a gift of grace.

Since we are God’s workmanship, created in His surveying grace, it therefore means our salvation cannot be of ourselves. We are God made, His workmanship, we have been created in Jesus Christ for good works. In other words, God recreated us in Christ Jesus for the sole purpose of good works (anointed service). These good works are not the cause of our salvation; they are the effects of it. We are created for it not by it.

God expects those saved by grace to do good works, to live and demonstrate a value adding life as a demonstration or as an evidence of being saved by grace. Good works are the necessary by products of our salvation experience in God. The life of God would propel you today to live in the realm of serving our generation with acts of good works. Like Jesus; we would go about doing good and saving all that are oppressed of the devil.

My declaration and confession: Lord thank you for saving me. I declare today that good works flows from everything I do naturally. I am a distributor of goodworks.

Ignite Thought: As believers, we are not saved because of good works, we are saved to do good works.

For without faith, it is impossible to please God. So also, faith without work is dead. This means that our works are what makes or Mars our relationship with God. Remember how the true vine and the Gardner works, the branches that do not produce good fruit are cut and thrown into the fire. Believers, let our lives decisions reflect Christ who lived righteously and pleased the Father..
