Living Beyond Human Strength

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

Psalms 34:10 (KJV)

Youthfulness always comes with strength and vitality. It is the time where your mind is fresh and active, your body is agile and energetic. Youthfulness is a great and wonderful resource given to us by God, to make the most out of life while we can. Someone rightly said, that your youthful age is your useful stage.

But friends you see, even with these seeming advantages, youthfulness alone would not immune us from disappointments and failures in life. Human strength is not an immunity against the vicissitudes of life. David writes and says “even the young lions with their physical prowess and limitless energy sometimes suffer hunger”. Prophet Isaiah says “the youth faint and sometimes get weary”. So you see, strength alone whether it is physical, economical or financial does not guarantee a good life in God, or prevent us from loss, depression or burnout. We need the strength of God that comes from seeking, waiting and resting on God through the finished work of Christ, to have lasting satisfaction and victory in life.

Today, remember that God is able to give those that wait on Him what strength and labor cannot give them. The Psalmist says that those who seek the lord do not lack any good thing. God is able to provide for us what strength alone cannot obtain for us.

My declaration and confession: Lord I acknowledge the limitation of my strenth, today i exchange it with yours that empowers me do all things!

Ignite Thought: God invests His strength in those who are weak.
