For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Philippians 2:13 (KJV)
Scrolling through my twitter timeline days ago, I saw a friend had tweeted “One more ‘believe in the process’ and I’ll scream.” It struck a chord. I realized that like my twitter mutual, many of us are tired of believing, tired of trusting in the process. Like clouds in the sky, it looks like we’re stagnant shapes in space and it will take an intent onlooker to realize that ever so slowly and silently, the clouds are in fact moving.
Beloved, you see a lot of things in Gods time table require a process. Committing to Jesus helps us focus on the important things such that our “movements” don’t have to be loud and swift. God wants us to think differently, move differently, knowing fully well that He is working in us both to will and do His good pleasure.
Child of God, your waiting time is not wasted time, let’s allow God to work in us. He will forge out a character that conforms to His will, aligning our choices with His, thereby empowering us to create a lasting difference . Believing in the process may not be sweet and comfortable, but it will surely bring pleasure to God and some treasure to us.
My declaration and confession: Today, the power of the Holy Spirit will work through me to generate an impact for eternity.
Ignite Thought: Sometimes it is pressure that births pleasure and treasure. Stay with the process!
