The Efficacy Of God’s Word

So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me void (useless, without result), without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV)

All of God’s Words, whether written or spoken, would never return to him without accomplishing the sent purpose. God’s word comes to us in different ways such as in His written Word (every single passage of scripture), the Word He speaks directly or indirectly in our thoughts, impressions, promptings or in dreams & visions etc. Whatever goes forth from His mouth will not return to Him void—ineffectual, useless, empty or without making an impact, change or redirection; it will always accomplish what God pleases.

His word will always accomplish what He has intended it to accomplish—it will have a great and powerful impact. It shall always prosper in the thing for which He sent it, because it is His will for it to prosper and to be effectual in all matters which concerns Him. The word will set the course for change in our lives. It will break down barriers in our lives as we begin to change our mindsets, beliefs and desires by being renewed and transformed in our minds and hearts.

As we align our hearts and minds to His word, we can’t help but change—and as we do, strongholds are demolished. It’s only then that we walk in the freedom for which Christ purchased for us on the cross. We must meditate on His Word for deeper clarification and illumination so that it will change us. We can’t expect to change by willful thinking or will power, we will fail every time. Only by meditating on God’s Word and applying it to our lives can we experience true and lasting change.

My declaration and confession: Today I declare that the word is succeeding in my life, I am becoming all that He says I am.

Ignite Thought: The word of God changes us before it changes our situations.
