Marred and Mended

And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Jeremiah 18:4 (KJV)

It is good to know that God does not only forgive our sins. He forgives and then transforms the sinner into a saint. Our merciful and gracious God is a master specialist in picking stuff others would past over unnoticed, and turn them into the centre of attraction. God can bring out treasure out of a trash. He is good and specializes in making “it” (that which others called marred) again into another vessel (a delightful treasure).

This week God is rewriting the story of your life, He will bring beauty in the place of ugliness! Like it was for Elizabeth, wherever you have been called barren, God is bringing fruitfulness. Our Lord and savior Jesus Christ is the greatest transformer, and He is in the business of picking discarded vessels and bringing a meaning out of their lives and circumstances. We see God picking a worthless peace of Earth and making it a beautiful piece of art. This would be the story of your life. As marred and battered as you are, just stay in His hands. He will make you again another.
